SIX INSANE YAMAHA YZ250 PROJECT BIKES: TWO-STROKE TUESDAY

We show you six Yamaha YZ250 project bikes that everyone can appreciate on this week’s Two-Stroke Tuesday brought to you by Boyesen. Products from Cylinder Works, Boyesen and Athena are featured in 2-Stroke Hardware and this week’s 2-Stroke Theater is full of premix burning YZ250 project bikes. If someone put a YZ345 engine in a modern Yamaha 4-stroke chassis would you want to see it? Look no further. Click the link at the bottom of this post!

This machine featured R-Tech’s complete Revolution plastics kit, which gaves it an aggressive look. The FMF complete exhaust system, Hinson clutch, Ride Engineering triple clamps and Torc1 brake pedal are just a few aftermarket products on our AHM Revolution build. See more on this AHM Yamaha YZ250.

This build was inspired by the men and women of law enforcement and all they do to keep us safe every day. The “Prodigy” Yamaha YZ250 built by Justin at MotoWhips is definitely easy on the eyes! The engine received some love from Mototassinari and Pro Circuit with Mitch Payton himself doing the grinding on the cylinder. See more of “The Prodigy” Yamaha YZ250.

Did you join the 2-Stroke Revolution back in 2016? You could have won this sweet YZ250X off-road bike just for signing up! The build featured just about anything you would need to go to go off-road including a Task Racing light for some nighttime fun. See more on this YZ250X.

Our Pro Circuit YZ250 project had a clean overall look thanks to the all blue Cycra plastics. Pro Circuit ported the cylinder and did some head work to match the exhaust system. The bike runs on VP C12 race fuel. The Rekluse TorqDrive clutch helped transfer all the new power to the rear wheel. For more on this Pro Circuit YamahaYZ250.

This bike looks fast just sitting on the stand! Magik INC did a great job on the graphics while Faster USA added strength and style with a wheel set that feature Excel black rims. The Rekluse auto-clutch virtually eliminates stalling on the trail and a Boyesen Supercooler helps keep the machine cool. See more on this Yamaha YZ250 Off-road build.

This machine was built for DB staff member Ron Lawson to race West Coast GP style events, which combine motocross, off-road and pavement sections. Internally, the only major change was a Rekluse Radius CX clutch system that combines their Torque-Drive, Core and Auto technology into one compact unit. See more on this GP style Yamaha YZ250X.
