This is Preston’s actual race bike from the 2002 Supercross season. The machine was cleaned up after the final round in Vegas and is stored in Corona California at the Geico Honda race team facility.

The works shock with all the trick coatings has some dust on it but looks extremely factory in person.

These vented number plates screamed factory back in 2002.

This was an era before companies like Ride Engineering and DP Motorsports made trick triple clamps available to the general public in a variety of colors. This hardware was way too expensive for the average rider and most race teams at the time.

Sand-Cast cases and loads of Mettec titanium hardware. No doubt the Factory Connection Honda team was serious about winning.

This is what a factory-level CR125 engine looked like back in 2002. The longer you stare the more you will see. Titanium hardware, safety-wired fasteners, welded-on skid plate mounts and cylinder spacers in all the correct places.

The CR125 that flew under the radar to win a championship that no one expected!
