SYSTEMS, POWERLIFT

PRODUCT: Systems’ Powerlift motorcycle stand was designed to lift up to 440 pounds via an electric motor powered by an 18-volt lithium battery. It features an aluminum frame with a plastic protective shell that can be personalized with custom graphics. It includes a handle built into the top for easy transportation. The battery and charger are included.

POSITIVES: With the option for custom graphics, the available space to promote sponsors is huge. Allowing a rider to roll their bike into a lift position without moving the stand at all is perfect, and then just pushing a button to raise or lower a 200-plus-pound bike is great. The battery power actually lasted way longer than expected. Having someone or something put your bike on the stand after a long moto might seem like a small thing, but it’s nice when it happens. Transporting the stand is made easy with a built-in handle incorporated into the lifting pad.

NEGATIVES: In a world that a motorcycle stand can be purchased for around 45 bucks, shelling out more than $350 can be tough to swallow. The Powerlift is water-resistant, not waterproof, so using it during washing is not recommended.

BOTTOM LINE: This stand is not for everybody, but if everyone tried it, they would probably want one. It’s a great concept, and the overall design works extremely well. We especially like the key-lockout safety feature that prevents little ones from pushing buttons and having a bike fall down on top of them. We would expect that come Christmas or birthday time the Powerlift will be on lots of people’s wish list—if they don’t go out and buy it first.
