TWO-STROKE TUESDAY: FASTER USA YZ125 PROJECT UPDATE

This weeks Two-Stroke Tuesday features an update on our 2007 YZ125 build with Colin and the crew at Faster USA brought to you by Boyesen. We packed 2-Stroke theater with an assortment of project builds and brand new off-road premix burning machines. If you are in the market for a new two-stroke click the exclusive link at the bottom of this post to our 2018 two-stroke buyers guide. The engine received lots of attention. There are a few items in the performance department that we have never included on a YZ125 like the head and power-valve mods. Cant wait to see how it all comes together.

Cleaned up and powder-coated. Not everything has to be aftermarket. The stock items can usually be reused with a little TLC.

Everything on this build got cleaned up and greased. All the bearings and seals were replaced.

Chris Johnson at San Diego Powder Coating did an amazing job on the frame. The metal flake really pops in the sunlight.

Carbon fiber, billet aluminum and Cerakote always look good together. Faster USA hubs, stainless steel spokes, anodized nipples and Excel rims make up the wheels on the YZ build.

This is a brand new triple clamp out for Yamaha’s made by a company in SoCal called Luxon. The suspension has some coating applied on the outside and inside. More details on that to come.

As you can see the pieces of the puzzle are coming together nicely and we can’t wait to show everyone the completed project. Stay tunes to our social media channels and Two-Stroke Tuesday for more.
