Dirt Bike Test Report 7/15

Yeek! It was hot enough that Adam’s buddy Joel was cooking meat on the hood of his truck as we pointed it up towards the mountains in an attempt to test dirt bikes and get out of the So Cal caldron. Adam and Joel are heading to Las Vegas for the Endurocross and both are racing in the amateur class. With a specially built Yamaha YZ250F that was setup with suspension mods, a cut down saddle and a very modified motor (that focused everything on bottom power) equipped with a Rekluse EXP clutch, Dick Wilk’s personal KTM 250XC and a brand new KTM 300 our trio spent the day sweating around our off-road test zone. Here are some pics and as usual you’ll see these stories in a future issue. As Rod Bush always told us, “Drive Fast and take chances!”

Boothy floating the front end over the ‘car stuck in the ground’ zone. He’s been spending time at Kyle Redmond’s Endurocross track prepping for the Vegas event.

Big Joel Hansen hammered the test track aboard our Dicks Racing KTM 250. This bike is really fast and has very positive suspension mods.

Humm, at 16.7 stones (for the uneducated a stone is equal to 14 pounds) the mountainous Joel attempts to squish the life out of our new 300-test wagon.

Adam got some seat time on the Dicks Racing machine. He didn’t stay aboard long…

TWebb borrowed Joel’s Gas Gas Trails wagon for a trip to the loo, only to get severely chastised by Booth for not wearing a lid. He was a bad boy.
