Cody Webb is heading to Austria this weekend to race Erzberg May 31st -June 3rd. Cody has been on the podium the last 2 years at the infamous Erzberg Rodeo, He finished 2nd in 2016 and 3rd last year. He was the first American to get into the top 3 at the event ever, and that a pretty big deal. This is the most stacked Extreme race of the year. Riders from all over the world show up with hope to make it to the finish of this race; they have had as little as 5 finishers in the past out of 1500 entries.

I was invited up to his place to do a little training before he leaves for the race next week. Cory Graffunder joined us, and we spent 2 days on Cody Webb’s hard enduro trails at  local private club property. Just a week away from the Erzberg Rodeo he showed us why he is one of the best in the world. His training facility has it all, and with his National trials back-ground its no wonder he has become the top American Hard Enduro rider.

This moss covered rock was one of the first things Cody brought us to. You had to duck under that tree and not use too much front brake, it would be a long slide down.

Cory Graffunder has also raced Erzberg a few times. Karls Dinner is one of the hardest sections at the race, Cody brought us to his version of the Dinner. This was a Mile long rock section in a Drainage ditch, it took about 15 minutes to do one pass.

The weather was perfect and so was the view, some of these lines were just trials sections. Cody was once a National trials champion, But he spends his time doing it on a KTM these days.

Cody was first to the top after this pushing battle with Cory. Pushing is a big part of the Extreme enduros, if you cant ride the section. The long legs are definitely a big help in this situation.

This big waterfall was at the end of a long canyon we went down, luckily we found a way around.
