BURSON TOPS GORMAN ISDE QUALIFIER

Nick Burson decided to take his weekend off to have some fun and try his hand at an ISDE Qualifier in Gorman, CA. With an ISDE format, Burson had 2 days of racing with special tests throughout both days. “On Day 1 it took me a little bit to get warmed up in the first special test, but I felt great in the rest of the tests.” Burson went on to win the overall on day 1 by 42 seconds. “Day 2 started out the same for me, struggling in the first few tests, but picked it back up again.” Burson came out on top of day 2 as well, taking the overall for the weekend. “It was fun racing something a bit different, with a normal race you go faster if you are not in 1st but with this type of format you have to ride as fast as you can without mistakes from start to finish.” Burson’s next race will be in New Mexico for round 2 of the National Hare & Hound Series.
Second place on both days was Red Bull KTM rider Cody Webb, who was experimenting with something far from his normal realm of EnduroCross and Extreme enduros. “This is a little faster than what I’m used to, but I had a lot of fun. ” Will Cody be at the ISDE in France later this year? “Maybe. We’ll see how it goes.”
