HUSKY AIR FILTER ACCESS: MR. KNOW-IT-ALL

NEEDLE-NOSE FINGERS
Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I love my 2022 Husky TE150i, but the no-tools-required air-filter access is a gimmick. Unless your fingers are the profile of needle-nose pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver,  you need tools to pop off the cover. The colder the weather, the harder it is to remove. Any tips or aftermarket options?

As much as I’d love to critique your blaspheming the pedestrian task of flipping a pop-out side cover open to gain access to your air filter, I totally concur with your assessment. Oddly enough, I found a solution by accident. The very last grommet on the sub-frame near the rear of the bike accidentally popped off of one of our test units. I pondered the newfound ease of removing the cover without a symphony of cursing when I noticed the missing grommet. I have left my machine sans the grommet, as it allows the very corner of the airbox cover to actually pop off with your index finger. Give it a try.
