Honda CR500R two-strokes with custom-made aluminum frames are not new. Honda never got around to making one that you could buy off the showroom floor, but the mid-2000s saw a number of talented fabricators who could combine a Honda 500 motor with a more current aluminum frame. Some worked better than others. This one was built in-house at Pro Circuit over 15 years ago and it’s still winning races today.
