Paul Whibley will ride Kawasaki’s in 2009. Paul is currently in his home country New Zealand riding the KX450F to prepare for the 2009 GNCC season. He will stay there until February and then plans to return to the states for an assault on the GNCC title vacated by David Knight. Kawasaki of New Zealand will give Whibs support and in the U.S. he’ll receive support from Kawasaki USA with bikes and parts but has to rely on their contingency program for his income. Paul and Jimmy Jarrett (both formerly of Team Suzuki) are working with JT Bennett/ Geico to form a team. Both were members of Team Suzuki which has witnessed the carving knife as the U.S. economic struggles hit the dirt bike racing arena.
