A 2003 Kawasaki KX65 project for the little rippers is featured on this week’s Two-Stroke Tuesday brought to you by Boyesen. We put products from Works Connection, Twin Air and Pro Circuit in our 2-Stroke Hardware section and 2-Stroke Theater has four different videos that premix lovers will enjoy. Kawasaki faithful don’t miss our exclusive link to insane KX250 project at the bottom of this post.
The engine was completely rebuilt using a Wrench Rabbit kit. The kit includes all the gaskets and internal hardware needed to rebuild the top and bottom-end. We added a V-Force reed cage for some performance increases.
This Kawasaki KX65 project is a perfect example of taking an older machine and making it better than new and not going bankrupt in the process. Even with all the numbers calculated this machine still cost less than a brand new unit.
WORKS CONNECTION AXEL BLOCKS:
- Precision CNC’d from 6061 T-6 billet aluminum
- Tighter tolerances than O.E.M. parts to help insure accurate alignment of the rear wheel so critical to prolonging chain and sprocket life
- Reversible design to keep your axle adjustment bolts from extending beyond their service range
- Anodized in Blue, Red, Black or Green
- Made in the USA
TWIN AIR POWER FLOW KITS:
Twin Air’s PowerFlow Kits ensure a leak-proof, fool-proof fit with a rigid, lightweight, billet-aluminum cage that replaces your flimsy, plastic stock cage, and a billet aluminum flange with a rubber seal that bolts tight to your airbox.
PRO CIRCUIT 296 SILENCER:
The Type 296 Spark Arrestor is specially engineered with an internal metal baffle, chambers and sound absorbing materials for a muffled exhaust sound and no loss of motor performance. The desired sound level is at or near 96dB on most models.
