In this weeks Two-Stroke Tuesday Karel Kramer helps us take a look back at a mid-2000 Honda CR250 build with some mid-1980 style. 2-Stroke Hardware features items from P3 Carbon, IMS, Troy Lee Designs and Sonic Tools. As always 2-Stroke Theater delivers sweet music for your ears and don’t miss the exclusive link to a behind the scenes look at our MotoFab Industries KX300 build.

This machine features a 2000 Honda CR250R engine strategically placed into a 2004 CR125 chassis. This was done because 2004 CR125R frame was a third-generation version with a slightly steeper steering-head angle and a shorter wheelbase.

The theme of the bike as you can see has a mid-1980 David Bailey feel and is topped off with conventional style forks and wheel off a 1997 RM250 .

Red powder coat is everywhere ! Frame, hubs, and swingarm are all done and the all red plastics stay true to the theme.

The 2000 CR250R engine was completely rebuilt by LA Sleeve with a new crankshaft featuring a later model ignition. The pipe is a custom creation that was fabricated to fit the CR125R frame and provide some added horsepower. The cylinder is modified and a Boyesen Rad Valve was bolted-on.

The older members on the DB staff remember when this look was cutting edge ! This machine definitely puts a smile on their faces.
