The direction for this CR250R build was to update the styling and give it some off-road credibility. Using companies like Cycra, Tusk, Wrench Rabbit, FMF, IMS, TM Designworks, Dunlop, Mototassinari and Hinson made it easy.
The engine was completely rebuilt to stock specs and then we added some key bolt-on performance items. A Hinson Billetproof clutch, FMF exhaust and Mototassinari V-Force 3 reed cage.
An IMS oversized tank was added for increased fuel milage. This allows us to do 45 minute plus GP style events without stopping for gas. We also added Renthal oversized bar mounts and 996 Twinwall bars for some additional comfort.
The FMF Shorty silencer added that signature throaty sound and nice performance gains.
The cylinder was repaired by Millennium Technologies returning it to stock specs. The top and bottom-end was rebuilt using a Wrench Rabbit kit that comes with all the parts needed including gaskets.
The overall CR250R off-road build came out looking surprisingly modern for a machine that is over a decade old.
