TWO-STROKE TUESDAY: AEO POWERSPORTS 2017 CR500 AF

An update on the CR500 AF build by the crew at AEO Powersports is front and center on this weeks Two-Stroke Tuesday brought to you by Boyesen. This is what our CR500 engine looked like all ready to be assembled by the very capable hands of Derrick Ball at AEO Powersports.

Here is a close up of the transmission gears after they had been polished by Moto Medic and ready to be installed.

All assembled the CR500 engine is a work of art. The crank was rebuilt and balanced by Crankworks.

Coatings and brushed finishes in all the right places topped off with Boyesen covers and Rad Valve.

The brake master cylinders and calipers got some Cerakote TLC from Moto Whips. The front received a Galfer upgrade while the back has TM Designs protection. Parts from Fasst Company, Works Connection and Pro Taper helped with the details.

The frame was harvested from a 2017 CRF450R and received heavy modifications from Edgefinder to accept the 500cc two-stroke power plant. Look closely you probably haven’t seen this style of modification ever before.

The suspension got all kinds of attention making it look amazing.

Dubya USA laced up a set of red Talon hubs with stainless steel spokes, red nipples and black DID Dirt Star STX rims. Pro Taper sprockets will help get all that 500cc power to the ground and the Galfer rotors will make it stop.
