The Seventh Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross (RCSX) is set to give away $147,525 in amateur contingency to racers participating in this year’s two-day event at the iconic Daytona International Speedway (DIS) in Daytona Beach, Florida. This trail ride has had a tremendous run at the Soboba Indian reservation. It’s been endorsed by Malcolm Smith and features some of the most challenging terrain that we have in the state. You get to ride your bike on trails that are not blocked by fences, housing tracks or irritating neighbors. Discover why professional riders, industry greats, Hollywood stuntmen and riders of all levels congregate each year to get their one shot to ride where no one is allowed to ride the rest of the year. This ride is challenging, but not impossible for riders of lower skill levels. It’s an event and you need to be a part of it. Rumors say this may have been the last one. Let’s hope not. Here’s a photo gallery courtesy of Karel Kramer.

Malcolm and Alexander, is there something in the gene pool here?

The Mesquite Grand Prix was always one of my favorites races that I hated. It was brutal, blow sand, sharp edged whoops and a tough Casey Folks course that tested every facet of your grit and your heart. I always did well there, just too stupid not to quit I guess. This is 1993 and I’m Husaberg 501 mounted.
