THE WEEKLY FEED: HANNAH versus WEBB: BOTH NASTY AND FAST!

BLAST FROM THE PAST: Hannah & Webb

Battle of the nasty boys!

Bob Hannah, in his prime was arrogant, had little respect for his peers (other than RD) and was dominant mainly due to his ferocity and will to win. Cooper Webb sweats a whole lot of Bob Hannah with his cavalier attitude that mates to a brutally effective style and a killer instinct that makes him a threat- both from the front and from the back of the pack. Just ask Ken Roczen! We didn’t want to believe Ricky Carmichael’s early predictions- he said Webb was the man.

Danny Laporte was a true sand specialist. Practicing on his desert tracks in Yucca Valley prepared him well for a career where he was a threat both in the U.S and the GP’s.

We wouldn’t mind taking a spin on Jonny’s 300 TPI!

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY

In 1994 I had the good fortune to ride the majority of the Qualifier series and raced a 501 Husaberg. This machine was a rocket and once I learned how to start it it made serious power, had a good tractable chug factor and compared to other 4-strokes at the time, was incredibly light. I fit mine with a Marzocchi fork and Honda CR wheels and brakes. After that I just rode it. I ended up doing well, won my class championship and made the ISDE team.
