11HH3_ 066 — Kurt Caselli gave the National Hare and Hound series a much needed shot of adrenalin. His presence in 2011 alone elevated the sagging series into National prominence. It as interesting that he resisted the series for years, since his Dad’s roots were married to the desert. Kurt had said that he preferred technical off-road and moto to high speed navigation. Later in his career he embraced this world and left a brand that will forever be etched into its history. Thanks to Mark Kariya for the pic.

PRESTON PETTY ELECTRIC BIKE INTERVIEW

I actually saw this on Facebook and started digging into finding the mag with the story. Zapata Espinoza wrote the piece for February 2014 issue of Electric Bike Action and it’s excellent. Preston Petty emerged when the dirt bike world was innocent and young and his genius came when filled a need for something…a plastic fender. Now he’s into Electric Bikes and turning them into flatrackers…what a shocker! Enjoy.

RIP DAN DAWSON

This week we lost a good one in Dan Dawson. He was an incredible rider, a great friend and a passionate father. He helped me test, he was a brilliant trail boss and really liked to go fast. His passing leaves a big hole in the lives that he touched. Godspeed my friend.

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY
