THE WEEKLY FEED: ENDUROCROSS • CLASSIC DAVID BAILEY • RACER OF THE MONTH!

BLAST FROM THE PAST

The 1983 Motocross des Nations was the first effort out of the U.S. that wasn’t a full Honda effort. All of the manufacturers got on board with David Bailey (Honda), Mark Barnett (Suzuki), Broc Glover (Yamaha) and Jeff Ward (Kawasaki) representing the USA. David Bailey was in his second year as a Honda factory rider and he was dominating America with a Supercross title and a 250 National MX championship as well. The photo was taken by the infamous Jack Burnicle and his hand written caption on the side of the black and white print says it all.

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY

Mammoth moto, maybe 1992. I’m riding my KTM 300MX-C in the Vet class. That’s brother number three giving me a sign, it’s either second place, 2-laps to go or ‘Peace Bra, you’re suckin’! Notice the dirt, it was still a pretty loamy back then, but check out the stones. Any roost from a 500 could blow out your goggle lens!
