Destry Abbott, known for his desert racing skills (5-time AMA National H&H Champion) but a guy who was a decent technical racer (7-time ISDE Gold Medalist). Ultimately, he’s one of the good guys! This shot was captured by Mark Kariya in 2002.

The Wolfster out testing in the high desert on the ’23 KTM 450XCF-W. Fine tuning the N2Dirt suspension settings and a few engine mods before fitting new graphics, protection parts and rubber.

 

This is an after testing, but before glam-baloneys and armor mods. Notice the different wheels, I’ll try to throw on anything that has a good edge!

 

Here’s some of the parts going on: SXS armor, shark fins fore and aft, new levers and chain guide.

 

I’m love the Nitro-Mousse inserts! One note here, make certain that you fit the right size insert to go with your tire size!

 

New rubber, Decal Works graphics (which are superb!), a Seat Concepts Element saddle, FMF’s Ti/Carbon 4.1 silencer, Vortex ECU, SXS skid plate and hand shields, Flexx bars and an Enduro Engineering shark fin are part of the project.

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY

The 1981 Husqvarna 430XC still rates as one of my favorite machines ever! This is a shot from the Fools Gold Enduro up in Northern California.
