THE WEEKLY FEED: CLASSIC MX PHOTOS, WILD VIDEOS, FOOD FOR THE MOTO HEAD

BLAST FROM THE PAST: GREAT MOTOCROSS PHOTOS!

There is no more classic motocross photo than that of Jimmy Weinert and Tony DiStefano battling for the championship in 1974 in Laurelville, Ohio. Charley Morey, then working for Cycle News shot the infamous pic. The Jammer went on to win the championship, Tony D signed with Suzuki and Charlie went on to become the Editor of Dirt Rider Magazine.

My buddy Tim Buck posted this- a true Moto Head

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY

My 1979 wasn’t a stellar year. I was sponsored by Kolbe Cycles and was so lucky to have a great mentor in Andy Kolbe and an incredible friend in Pete Smith who got me into off-road. But we had a teething year with 370 Can-Am with lots of highs, but way too many lows. By the next year the bike improved dramatically and I don’t think we had one DNF for the entire year. I ended up getting the District 37 Heavyweight Enduro Number one plate and finished as a AA nationwide.
