Elbow and forearm protection is an often-overlooked piece of personal protective equipment that will help protect one from the agony of cuts, abrasion burns, punctures, or bruises common among those participating in action sports. By choosing a pair of high-quality, ergonomically-correct elbow guards, one will add an extra layer of protection against the falls, crashes, impacts with trees, shrubs, and other on-the-trail hazards that commonly occur with two-wheel action sports.

WOLF: BACK IN THE DAY

This is the 1988 Michigan ISDE Qualifier and I’m futzing with the rear brakes on my RM250. It was still early times for disc brake technology and in long off-road events where you spent a lot of time dragging the brake, they would overheat, burn the brake fluid and you’d lose the pedal. At least once a day we would provide a transfusion to replace the tainted fluid for new stuff. It was a critical bit of maintenance if you wanted to be aggressive all day long.
