Taylor Robert Injury Report

Hey everyone, as many of you may know the opening round of the WORCS series was a couple weeks ago. It was a great weekend for me and my new Valli Motorsports Team. I got the holeshot and led every lap of the 2 hour race. A quarter of a way through the race I didn’t think that this was going to be possible. At the end of the third lap I jumped out of the endurocross section and the big tire jump sent my bike in an unexpected direction. When I came down I put my foot out and I felt my knee give out. I thought my chances of winning the first round was over right there. I cruised into the pits and told my dad that I blew out my knee, he asked me what I wanted to do, and I just took off and tried to block out the pain. I rode the rest of the race with my foot on the peg as much as possible because my knee felt very weak.

This last week I went to a few different doctors and the result is a completely torn ACL and a torn meniscus. Being that I am only 19 years old I am going to get this fixed right away so I can have a long racing career ahead of me. I’m getting surgery this Friday and start physical therapy on Monday.

I can’t thank my Valli Motorsports team enough and I’m really grateful for the people and companies that believed in me this year, you have my word I’ll be back stronger, faster and more consistent than ever.
