SPEEDBRAIN RALLY RACE REPORT

Rally Dos Sertoes 2013, Preview

The Speedbrain Rally Team is competing in Brazil from 25 July to 3 August.

Six months before the Rally Dakar begins, the Speedbrain Rally Team is entering another major race in South America. The 23rd edition of the Rally Dos Sertoes is set to begin tomorrow as part of the FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship 2013. Because of its length – the race lasts over ten days, making it the second longest after the Dakar – double points are awarded. So there?s reason enough for the top teams to join the action.

The Speedbrain Rally Team will be represented by Paulo Goncalves. Paulo will be aboard his familiar Speedbrain 450 Rally machine, on which he has had a successful season so far including several podium results and near-wins The Portuguese is currently lying runner-up in the world championship.

Ten days of racing and 4,115 kilometres altogether are in front of the 34-year-old. 2,488 km of them are timed as special tests. In 2011, the Speedbrain ace ended the gruelling event just missing out on the podium.

The proceedings kick off on Thursday in Goi?.nia. A short but spectacular prologue will determine the starting order for Friday?s stage leading to Pirenopolis. The Sertoes Rally will once again offer a demanding programme: high-speed sections on sand, tricky technical stretches, river crossings and much more – all taking place in mostly remote areas of the Brazilian wilderness.

On 3 August the eventual winner will cross the finish line back in Goi?.nia. We keep our fingers crossed for Paulo and the whole Speedbrain Team, as they face this fascinating rally adventure. Speedbrain Communication will follow the race closely and report daily on its progress.

Not only the Speedbrain race team is starting their activities. The new Speedbrain online store is on the gas as well. A new design, new features, and special offers are all part of the fresh look that makes the Speedbrain rally universe worth a visit. Check outwww.shop.speedbrain.de
