Team Off Camber’s Mandi Mastin’s Day 2 Report below…

Day two featured a course that mirrored Day 1. Unfortunately it was siltier and dustier!

Trophy team standings remained largely the same  with France still leading the World Trophy followed by Italy and the US. Italy is dominating  the Junior World standings followed by Australia and France. In the Women’s World Trophy, France holds the number one position, with  the US is in second followed by Sweden.

Caselli kept his overall lead throughout the day, but was penalized one minute for allegedly cutting the course. As Caselli explains the incident, he came into a turn and lost the front end in some chatter, laid the bike down under the ribbon. He picked up the bike and rather than re-entering the course facing the wrong direction, he paralleled the course for a few feet until the next turn. The U.S. team is currently trying to overturn the penalty.

Nathan Woods came back hard after a disappointing first day. He set the fastest overall times on the opening motocross test both times on Day Two and is climbing back up the ranks.

In the overall ranks, Juha Salminen moved himself from ninth overall to fifth in the E2 class to second in class and second overall. First in the overall currently belongs to Cristobal Guerrero of Spain.

ISDE Greece Day 2
Hi Everyone!!

Todays trail was the same loops as we rode yesterday. Each day we ride 2 loops…so needless to say, the course was very chewed up since this was the 4th time we rode the loop.

Day 2 for the Women’s USA team went well. Nicole Bradford and Maria Forsberg rode really well today. Maria moved up to 2nd overall in the women’s class and Nicole moved up to 4th place. My day didn’t go much better then yesterday. I am having a difficult time with the technical uphills on the 125. I lost route points again today. But, I got both tires changed tonight and the course is all new tomorrow. The word is…that tomorrow’s trail doesn’t have any technical uphills, with more flowing trail.  So hopefully, tomorrow will bring me a better day with some better times. The USA Women still stand in 2nd place behind France.
The World Trophy Team is still riding strong. Kurt was penalized today for getting off the course in the endoro test. They are working on getting the pentaly reduce. Right now, the USA is standing in a solid 3rd place.

Thanks for all the support!! Go Team USA!!
