Hughes grabbed the holeshot and led the entire first lap until the log section, which jumped up and bit him, giving Mike Kiedrowski and opportunity to pass Ryno for the lead. Kiedrowski then led while Ryno worked his way back up to the front. In the back section, it was MX Kied’s turn to make a mistake and a stall gave Ryno a chance to take back over the lead. Both Suzuki riders charged the entire two hours, running twin pipe FMF systems. Kiedrowski never letting Ryno out of his sights. Ricky Dietrich held on to third until the last lap with the finish line in his sights but a stall in the treacherous log section opened the door for Bobby Garrison to jump into third and Mike Corder to grab fourth, leaving Ricky in fifth. After pitting out of his truck instead of the Kawasaki rig, Lance Smail finished sixth with Ty Davis in seventh. Unfortunately, Nathan Woods swapped out on the first lap and went down. He wasn’t hurt, just sore and kept racing, only to have a mechanical problem end his day within the first 20 minutes of the race. The defending WORCS champ has his work cut out for him the rest of the season. 1. Ryan Hughes 2. Mike Kiedrowski 3. Bobby Garrison 4. Mike Corder 5.Ricky Dietrich 6. Lance Smail 7. Ty Davis 8.
