PRODUCT: The Slavens Mule KTM PDS swingarm saver performs one task for the PDS (non-linkage) machine—it protects the swingarm where the mudflap rubs up against it as the suspension moves through its stroke. In muddy conditions, it can wear several millimeters through the aluminum swingarm and actually damage the PDS heim-joint seals. The Mule swingarm protector eliminates the issue with a sealed ball bearing and roller mounted to the lower shock bolt that keeps the mudflap from rubbing. As the swingarm moves through its travel, the roller tracks up and down the mudflap, keeping it distanced from the swingarm and eliminating wear.
OUR TAKE: Simple, effective and quite cool, the Slavens Mule swingarm saver comes with a new lower shock bolt and has a sealed bearing on the roller and a replaceable rubber wear ring. It mounts in minutes and does exactly what it is supposed to do; it keeps the mudflap from coming in contact with the swingarm during the suspension stroke. It’s brilliantly designed and effective.
