PIRELLI INTRODUCES NEW MT410 MUD/SAND MX TIRE

(Press Release)

Pirelli has introduced its new MT410, an MX tire specifically designed for muddy and sandy terrains. It replaces the long-lived and near-legendary MT44 LagunaCross.

The new MT410 is built with Pirelli?s light weight Pet HMLS (High Modulus) polyester carcass designed for both consistent performance and durability in extreme racing conditions. Improved compounding is said to offer more temperature stability and less knob wear. In the rear, the 410?s new U-shaped paddle-design tread pattern transfers the power to the ground, even on starts. The tread blocks are of different widths to allow the rear?s carcass to cling to the surface for better ground contact and to prevent digging in.

The paddle design provides traction at all lean angles without sacrificing control in the most slippery conditions, while special stabilizing ribs connected to the back of the central knobs are designed to improve the 410?s stability under braking.

The front tire?s U-shaped pattern has wider spacing in the crown and the center-block knobs have unique V-shaped backs to provide better braking performance in the sloppy stuff without sacrificing directional control. Mid-shoulder and shoulder knobs have sharp edges on the knobs to provide more cornering grip, even in sections that may vary from intermediate to semi-hard. The front tire?s slightly wider carcass helps the tire float in soft conditions to provide more feedback.

Pirelli?s new MT410 is available in an 80/100-21 front, and 100/90-19 and 110/90-19 rears. MSRPs are $68.95, $83.95 and $86.95 respectively.
