PERFECT DAY FOR FERRANDIS AT RED BUD

Fastest in this morning’s qualifying practice sessions, dominated the first 250 moto, then went on to win the second moto and the day’s overall, Dylan Ferrandis sure was on it at round seven of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The perfect day didn’t start off this morning, however, but rather it did at Southwick last weekend when the French rider won by quite a margin in the second 250 class moto. He carried that momentum into this weekend where he topped the 250 class every time they hit the track today. Here are the rest of the 250 class overall results from the 2019 Red Bud National: (For extended coverage of the 2019 Red Bud National MX, click here)

250 Moto One

In unusual fashion, the number 26 of Alex Martin grabbed the first 250 moto holeshot and led the rest of the field into a hectic first lap. Before crossing the finish line for the first time in the moto, Adam Cianciarulo had passed for the lead, then Dylan Ferrandis passed Adam for the lead, Ferrandis’ teammate Justin Cooper almost went over the bars in some soft dirt and much more chaos than that went down. Ferrandis eventually won the moto with a hard charging RJ Hampshire finishing in second. Alex Martin had a podium position locked down for the entire moto, but a few laps from the end his bike began smoking and finally let go just three turns from the end. Martin’s mechanical allowed Cianciarulo into third, but a controversial track re-entry early cost him two positions, pushing him back to fifth for moto one. This put Justin Cooper into third and his teammate Ty Masterpool in fourth. Here are the full results from the first 250 class moto at round seven of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship:

250 Moto Two

Alex Martin once again got the holeshot, this time in the second 250 class moto of the day. Dylan Ferrandis also got another good start, which was bad news for everybody else, as he quickly got up front and around Martin for the lead. Alex was able to stick there for a little bit, but pressure from Adam Cianciarulo had the number 26 rider falling back to third by the end of the moto. Cianciarulo fought back after his penalty in moto one to finish the second moto in second for second overall on the day. Here are the rest of the 250 class results from the 2019 Red Bud National:
