NINE WINS FOR R.C.–APRIL 2

NINE WINS FOR R.C.–APRIL 2

It was another holeshot and another win for Ricky Carmichael last Saturday. The only things that changed from week to week are the location and who gets second. This time it was a record crowd at St. Louis that got to see Carmichael win, and Suzuki’s Kevin Windham who was runner up. Early threat Mike LaRocco crashed, as did Jeremy McGrath. But McGrath was still able to get fourth place, whereas LaRocket lost too much time to remain a contender. R.C. now has a 39-point lead. It was a busy night for Travis Pastrana. He qualified for the 250 main by finishing second to McGrath in a heat, but then elected to ride only in the 125 main. He probably made the right decision, because he had his hands full with a mid-pack start in the 125 class. He finally worked his way into the lead on the very last lap, pushing four-stroke pilot Nate Ramsey back to second. Pastrana leads the 125 East by 11 points over Ramsey.
