NATIONAL HARE & HOUND FINALE: BROWN IS FIRST! |
Team Green’s Brian Brown finished second at every single National Hare and Hound this year–until the very last one. Finally, the defending champ won at the SCMC National on October 8 at Lucerne Valley, California. It was nearly a wire to wire victory as he had only to pass Dan Richardson after the bomb run. Destry Abbott, who has been the top dog at virtually every previous round, and who wrapped up the title last month, came from behind to challenge Brown at one point. But it was Brown’s day, providing an upbeat end to what must have otherwise been a very frustrating season. Ty Davis’s season, on the other hand, finished as poorly as it began, with yet another DNF. Paul Krause was another member of the bum luck club, finishing far back with a partially seized motor. Paul still earned enough points to retain his District 37 points lead with a few rounds remaining. RESULTS LUCERNE NATIONAL HARE & HOUND |
