MX REVIVAL T1000 CR250 PROJECT UPDATE 2: TWO-STROKE TUESDAY

On this week’s Two-Stroke Tuesday we give you a little update on our T1000 Honda CR250 build with Charles Lytle from MX Revival. This build is turning out way better than we ever imagined and yes it is taking longer than we expected but sometimes life throws you curveballs just to see how dedicated you are. To say we are impressed with Lytle’s dedication to this project and our Ping-King CR500 would be a huge understatement ! In the middle of a pandemic, moving out of his shop, building a mobile workshop and expecting his first child with his lovely wife Christal, he never stopped plugging away. Thanks for all the hard work Charles we can’t wait to see the finished product.

CHASSIS

Maybe we should have named this CR250 Build “Project War Machine” as it shapes up to look like a full fledged fighter jet & absolute MX track assault weapon… In either case – T1000 is pure, Liquid Metal.

SUSPENSION

After sourcing a second CR250 in order to make one good set of fork tubes, T1000’s suspension was carefully taken apart piece by piece, fully vapor blasted in-house, fully rebuilt, fully revalved for MX by Ride JBI & finished off with their fresh DLC coatings on all lower shafts

ENGINE

What used to be a crusty shell of an engine riddled with heli-coils & a seized cast iron bore is no more. T100’s engine has been Revived by Haeseker Racing with a fully rebuilt engine, new OEM cylinder, Phathead racing cylinder head, a micro-polished transmission & one-off carbon fiber parts you just won’t find anywhere.

MORE COOL STUFF

No Smoking (swingarm sticker) it right, this old CR250 wasn’t going anywhere in it’s current condition. She’ll be burning premix in the smoker’s section again soon.
