MTVRA Trail Ride a Success

“What a great experience,” stated a participant in the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA) fund raiser trail ride held at the Bull Run Ranch.

KTM and the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA) hosted an organized trail ride on Thursday June 25, 2009 led by off-road pros Russell Bobbitt, Mike Lafferty, Nick Fahringer, Cole Kirkpatrick and Brad Bakken.

A total of $1,500 was raised to help fight land closure battles in the state of Montana. Approximately 80 people showed up for the trail ride and experienced a fun-packed day of riding led by off-road professional motorcycle riders.

Pro riders divided into five groups and gave riding tips throughout the day. The groups did two 2-hour loops with a break in between where the pro riders switched groups to allow all participants a chance to learn from multiple pro athletes. “The pro riders did a great job leading the loops. They offered many helpful tips and shared great racing stories throughout the day,” commented KTM Ride Orange Manager and multi-time Blackwater 100 Champion Mark Hyde.

This weekend the Bull Run Ranch will host the ninth round of the National Enduro Series. This is the first time the series has competed at this location. “It is essential to fight the land closure battles affecting this area. The riding is amazing and we would like to continue to come here for riding and racing in the future. Thanks to everyone who showed up,” commented 8-time National Enduro Champion and Shock Doctor/KTM rider Mike Lafferty.
