MT. MORRIS MIX-UP—MAY 28

MT. MORRIS MIX-UP?MAY 28

Everything was the same at the Mt Morris National MX this weekend–that is to say, everything was different once again. David Vuillemin was the overall winner in the 250 class, breaking a bad luck streak that extended back to the supercross series. Ricky Carmichael at least has been consistent. Yet again he crashed early in the first moto and came back to win the second. This has been his pattern in all three races so far. Kevin Windham was consistent enough to gather second overall, ahead of points leader Sebastien Tortelli and Tim Ferry, who put in a spectacular moto-two ride after stalling his Y426F on the start line. He eventually was fifth in that come-from-behind moto. The 125 class finally went as the pundits predicted. Tavis Pastrana won both motos, taking advantage of Grant Langston?s bike problems.
