MORE WORCS HAVASU PHOTOS

Lake Havasu City, AZ

The Lake Havasu round of the WORCS is always brutal with a very unique course. Here are some additional photos from the race won with style and ease by Taylor Robert. Series leader Robby Bell was second, and visiting national mx pro Brett Metcalfe was third for a Kawasaki sweep.

Once Roberts grabbed the lead he simply checked out. He managed to look smooth on the super-rough course.

National MX Pro Brett Metcalfe used the event to help race back to fitness after injury. Despite still trying to make sure he understood the format, pitting and start procedure minutes before the start, he worked up from way back to third.

Larry Roeseler (1832) and Ty Davis (59) both raced two classes. Roeseler won the 50 class and Davis the 40 class.

Davis turned laps fast enough to win the Pro 2 Lites class, but of course he did eight laps and the Lites guys did 18!

Gary Sutherlin rode strong, but had problems, here he looks down to see where the rear brake pedal is bent to.

Sixteen-year-old Brandy Richards leads the Women Pro series, but a crash held her to second at Havasu. She was flying, and she usually races in the Pro 2 Lites class with the boys.

2012 Women Pro champ Tatum Sik railed Havasu on a 450. With Brandy Richards leaving the series for knee surgery, she should easily repeat as series champ.

How badly do you want to race? 1981 XR200R bad?
