Monster Energy Kawasaki?s Nathan Woods Gets It … |
Racing conditions were less than ideal due to rain from earlier in the weekend, but Woods was able to prevail. “At the start, the course was very slick but as the race went on it got tackier,” said Woods. He started with the front pack of racers and jumped to the lead in the early stages of the race. He crossed the finish line in just under three hours and nearly two minutes ahead of Russell Bobbitt. “I noticed after I passed Bobbitt for the lead that he continued to hang tough for the next lap,” said Woods. “Then I didn’t see him anymore. I just kept my pace up and before I knew it I had gotten the white flag.” This was the second year in a row that Woods has won the event.
