KTM EXECUTIVES GET FIERY GREETING AT GAS GAS

A week after Gas Gas officially announced that it planned on closing its production facility, a delegation of KTM executives traveled to Girona, Spain to meet with Gas Gas officials. The purpose of the meeting wasn’t disclosed, but it was reported by Spanish website www.enduropro.com that KTM is interested in acquiring the company. That apparently didn’t sit well with Gas Gas employees, who probably fear that the Gas Gas Factory will go they same direction as the Husqvarna factory in Varese, Italy, which was shut down after the KTM acquisition. The Austrian delegation was greeted by a hanging mannequin dressed in KTM clothing, a pile of burning tires and a sign reading “KTM dies nicht zu hause,” or “KTM this is not your house. The protesters were courteous enough to write the message in several languages, including the native Austrian of the KTM visitors.
