KTM and Chris Blais Sign new 2 Year Deal |
Chris Blais extended his contract for another two year?s with the Red Bull KTM Dakar Racing Team. Blais originally won his ride with the factory Red Bull KTM Team after finishing in the top three of the 2004 Dakar Rider Search (held in the Nevada desert). Since then Blais has made an astounding impression on the African Rally scene with a fourth overall in the 2006 Dakar Rally followed by a third overall and a top American award in 2007. If Blais continues to progress as he has over the last two years, he?s well on his way to a top two finish at this year?s Rally. But second will not suffice for this man, Blais is ready to win! Blais states, “I?m excited to go back again for the next two years. I?ve got a great relationship with Red Bull and KTM and with their support this time I?ll be going back ready to win!” Blais? next event will be the Baja 500 on June 2, 2007 where he will compete as part of a four member team with fellow KTM riders David Pearson, Cyril Despres and Marc Coma. Blais feels the Baja race supports his training and improves his conditioning as he prepares for his biggest battle, the Dakar Rally. |
