On this week’s Project Bike Spotlight we give you an inside look at our KTM 350XC-F build. The Performance Machine Works KTM was a fun build that improved the overall look and feel of the bike. We packed Thumper Theater with four different custom projects for your viewing pleasure and check out the exclusive link to our Yamaha two-stroke build at the bottom of this post!
Tusk Impact wheelsets feature anodized black rims made out of 7050 T-6 aluminum with forged 6061 T-6 hubs and stainless steel spokes. SuperSprox is making its Stealth hybrid rear sprocket with proprietary specifications for KTM’s Hard Parts catalog. The sprockets are sold exclusively through KTM dealerships. IRC’s new XC-07 tires are designed to be aggressive for traction. They also use a rubber compound that can stand up to off-road abuse.
The Core EXP 3.0 auto clutch from Rekluse uses the principles of centrifugal force. This clutch automatically engages and disengages based on rpm. Evans Waterless Coolant features a boiling point above 350 degrees and protects against freezing below -40 degrees without the use of corrosive ingredients. P3 Carbon Factory Replica skid plates are identical to what KTM’s factory off-road race team used to win GNCC, National Hare & Hound, EnduroCross and National Enduro championships last year.
GPR’s Version 4 stabilizer is designed to mount underneath the handlebars with its slim bolt-on post design. We used an anodized-orange DH1 top triple clamp that was CNC-machined out of billet aluminum.
The FMF Powercore 4 exhaust system is constructed using a stainless steel head pipe with MegaBomb technology, a stainless steel mid-pipe, and an aluminum muffler with spark arrestor capabilities. Race Tech installed heavier springs and its patented Gold Valve system in the forks to provide increased resistance to bottoming without making the action harsh.
Seat Concepts has complete KTM seats that fit 2015 Factory Edition and newer models. Each seat can be ordered with your choice of color and style seat cover.
