Factory Rockstar Energy/Husqvarna rider Josh Strang has come out swinging in the 2016 Grand National Cross Country. Josh put his FC450 on the top step of the podium at round 1 and backed it up with a repeat performance at round 2 in Georgia with his last lap pass on defending champion Kailub Russell.
Red Bull KTM rider Kailub Russell normally dominates the GNCC series but this year he comes into the series with minimal amounts of preparation time due to having knee surgery towards the end of last years race season. Kailub ran up front all day but reports say severe dehydration got the best of him on the last lap forcing him to back off and settle for second place behind Josh Strang.
Thad Duvall was running strong all day long aboard his KR4 Performance/Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Husqvarna until about 6 miles into the final lap when he ran out of gas ending his podium run. He was able to finish and salvage much needed championship points.
Charlie Mullins is back in action aboard his Red Bull KTM and battle with Steward Baylor all day . Charlie ended up a solid 4th in the XC1 class.
The photo says it all ! GNCC racing is no joke. Ryan Sipes gave everything he had putting his Coastal Racing Husqvarna into the top 6 in Georgia .
