For 6 days earlier this year, the best off-road motorcycle riders in the world went head to head riding the unforgiving terrain of Southern Finland. Team USA was up against the very fast Finns with some very nasty terrain and bad weather to contend with.

The 87th annual running of the International Six Days Enduro [ISDE] was held in Kotka, Finland in August of 2011. 400 of the fastest enduro riders in the world worked to prove who was the fastest and the best. The riders covered over 900 miles in total, rode more than 7 hours a day and did all their own maintenance. The ISDE is the only motorcycle competition in the world where the rider is completely alone in his efforts. From riding to wrenching, he is on his own and cannot accept the help of others.

The film makers from IGNITION3 shot all the action in full HD and put together a show that conveys just how breathtaking, difficult and grueling this event can be. This is one of the toughest ISDEs ever recorded.

The Team USA World Trophy Team featured Kurt Caselli, Destry Abbott, Jimmy Jarrett, Tim Weigand, Colton Udall and Nathan Kanney.

Finland was on their home turf and ready for all comers. Juha Salminen, Eero Remes, Marko Tarkala, Jari Mattila, and Valtteri Salonen of the Finish trophy team were anxious to show the world how to ride the forests, sand, rocks and mud of their native country. Italy, France, Australia and over 30 other countries sent their best riders. The terrain is as beautiful as it is difficult. The riding is spectacular and the action is non-stop. ISDE 2011 FINLAND gets you deep inside the toughest off-road race in the world.
