Argubright and Husqvarna Podium Finish at West Hare Scrambles Championship

Argubright maintains point lead with four top finishes.

March 16, 2014

The Ranch at Anza, CA – – Team Husqvarna off-road specialist Jacob Argubright logged another rapid run aboard his FMF, Moose Racing Husqvarna FC450 with a second place finish in the West Hare Scrambles Series.

The Northridge, CA resident led most of the challenging 2.5-hour sprint but a minor crash allowed eventual winner Justin Bonita to slip by dashing hopes for another Argubright win.

‘It wasn’t the best day, but I am happy to keep Husqvarna on the podium and maintain my points lead!’ Reflected Argubright, who will take the series points lead into round 5 of 9 at Lake Shasta, CA in April.

Andrew DeLong’s GNCC Hopes Drown Out In Georgia

Team Husqvarna rider ends day early at GNCC Rd. 2

Washington, Georgia — Racing motorcycles in wet conditions is nothing new to Team Husqvarna’s Andrew DeLong, but massive amounts of MPH and H20 sidelined his #10 Husqvarna on the opening lap of GNCC Rd #2, aka ‘The Maxxis General’ at Aonia Pass MX.

Prior to the event DeLong had looked forward to competing in the miserably wet conditions that should favor a Pennsylvanian. Although the rain had stopped at race time, conditions remained bad enough for organizers to shorten the normally 3-hour event by an hour to 2-hours.

‘I got a good start, around 5th place, and I’d worked my way up to 3rd when I hit a hole and killed the engine,’ said DeLong. ‘I didn’t crash and I was Ok but I could not get my bike restarted.’

Realizing that Andrew was not making any progress, his mechanic Joey Maurer located him on the course to diagnose the situation.

‘At that point, Joey and I pushed the bike back to the pit. It was pretty clean inside although the air cleaner was waterlogged and it might have sucked in some water when I hit the hole.’ Said Andrew. ‘Not sure what the actual cause was and we won’t really know until we get back to the shop.’

Next race: Sunday March 30, 2014 – GNCC Rd #3 FMF Steele Creek at Morgantown, NC
