HUSQVARNA TC85 PROJECT: BEHIND THE BUILD

Completing projects in the garage with your dad is a rite of passage. Do you remember what yours was? For Johny and his son, Austin DeLuca, it was this used Husqvarna TC85 that had them spending time in the garage together.

1. Impact wheelsets from Tusk Powersports feature forged 6061 T-6 aluminum hubs anodized Husqvarna blue, black-anodized 7050 T-6 aluminum rims, 304 stainless spokes, sealed bearings and hard-anodized wheel spacers.

6. Moto Hose silicone radiator hose kits are available in a variety of colors while being constructed of a higher-grade rubber than the OEM units and infused with silicone.

7. Twin Air’s Power Flow kits are designed to ensure a leak-proof, fool-proof fit with a rigid, lightweight, billet-aluminum cage and a billet-aluminum flange with a rubber seal that bolts tightly to your airbox. A dual-stage air filter is also included in each kit.

Jared Hicks and the crew at Backyard Designs USA worked with the DeLucas to come up with a very clean-looking graphic and seat-cover design.

ProX aluminum rear sprockets are CNC-machined from 7075 T6 aluminum alloy, a base material utilized for its durability. Each sprocket is machined to OEM specifications with specially designed countersunk mounting holes for a flush fit and mud grooves to disperse debris buildup on the teeth, preventing premature wear.

Pro Circuit is now offering a simple spring hybrid conversion cartridge kit that can be easily dropped into a WP AER air fork. This hybrid fork spring system is 100 percent made in the USA, offering easy spring preload adjustment without taking the fork all the way apart, letting the fork ride a little higher or lower when needed.

The Pirelli Scorpion MX32 mini tires are designed with the same technology as their bigger bike tires, utilizing a V-shaped block layout for stability under braking and acceleration with a proprietary rubber compound.

Johny and Austin DeLuca were all smiles after finishing the Husqvarna TC85 project. Austin was probably smiling because he was finally going to be able to ride his bike. Dad was smiling because the project was done.
