In case you didn’t catch it on NBC Sports or MAV TV, the opening round of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship took place today at Prairie City in Sacramento, and it was a complete walk away for Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac in the 450 class. Eli took both motos and lapped into the top 10. Ryan Dungey said he never quite felt comfortable, but managed second place (almost a minute and a half back in moto two). Ken Roczen was handicapped by a stress fracture in his back and struggled to finish 19th in the first moto. He came back to finish fifth in the second race. The 250 class had a split decision between Marvin Musquin and Jeremy Martin, who traded wins. Martin took the overall, but they go to the next round at Glen Helen in a points battle. Here are the results from this weekend.
