GODSPEED BRUCE OGILIVIE: One Of America’s Greatest Offroad Riders Loses His Brave Battle Against Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

Today at 6:43PM Bruce Ogilvie passed away after a 2 year battle with cancer. As you all know he was one of the toughest people on this planet and did everything he could do right up to the final days to overcome his illness and in the last few days he put his family at ease and all will be OK. So many people love him and respect him for many reasons, and he has taught all of us so much during his lifetime. These great memories are what we should look towards to ease our hearts and feelings in the coming days and months and we all should know he is in a much better place now. Bruce has been credited with many great racing accomplishments that spanned over 45 years, but most of us have also set many of our life’s fundamentals on what Bruce has taught us and that we now live by. What better complement for a man to be given. He was one of the best people we all will ever have known.

In the coming days we will be setting up a website in honor of Bruce’s life that we all can all add our thoughts, stories and pictures to of Bruce’s life . This tribute will allow all of us the opportunity to share our feelings and life memories we have had with him, and this site can be here forever so we never forget all this great man has done for us. There will also be a ride day in the coming month that will allow all of us a chance to celebrate and share the love and companionship that Bruce gave to all of us.

Bruce’s wife Marcia and kids Nick and Isabella, and his sisters and mother are doing as well as can be expected and will have a private service with their close family that is currently by their side. Cards can be sent to their home at 9212 Columbine, Fountain Valley, Ca 92504.
