Former GNCC Champion Shane Watts announces…

Former GNCC Champion Shane Watts announces the formation of the Fun Mart Cycles/Maxxis tires/ktmhutt.com Offroad race team to tackle the might of the factory supported teams at the 13 events of America?s toughest race series for offroad motorcycles, the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC).

“It?s been a heap of hard work to pull this all together, but we are now a month away from the first race and I?m fully prepared and ready to get on the podium. This is the best prepared I?ve ever been and that?s a huge bonus towards achieving our goal of being on the podium at every single race. It has been because of the great support that we have received from our many team sponsors that we now have the opportunity to just go to the races and concentrate on the race victory,” Watts said with renewed excitement.

Watts will be mounted on a KTM 250XC 2 stroke. “This will be my 15th year of racing KTM machinery, but due to KTM?s current indication of being unable to support my racing efforts in any form, this is the first year that I have had to go out and buy all of my own KTM bikes and parts. We have obtained great support from all of our team sponsors but unfortunately it won?t be enough to cover my expenses for the year. Hopefully further support will be forth coming soon, at least from KTM, otherwise we?ll be off to see our friendly bank manager!”
