We spent Wednesday roosting around Castillo Ranch on the 2010 KX250F. This years KX received refinements aimed at increasing performance and durability. Dirt Bike’s Adam Booth and tester Travis Bright spent time on the hilly track jumping between the 2009 and the 2010 machines and all around having a great time.

The 2010 machine now has a longer head pipe and the exhaust system went from titanium to stainless steel. It saves money and it is stronger than titanium. Changes to the transmission make shifting smoother and changes to the cam make starting even easier than before. Kawasaki made slight adjustments to the damping front and back to improve overall feel of the bike. The cases where beefed up around the front motor mount for more durability and the last thing we are going to tell you know, before the December issue of Dirt Bike comes out with the test is that the seat is stiffer than 2009. With the 2010 KX250F in our hands, we are one bike away from our 250F shootout. Keep it pinned!
