Welcome to Dirt Bike’s premium “Motocross Boot Buyer’s Guide.” To be honest, a motocross boot covers a good chunk of territory, as it’s also a desert boot, a GNCC boot, a Baja boot and a GP boot, so this buyer’s guide fits a wide range of riders. While there are several specific boot companies that make a wide range of high- to low-end footwear, we’ve opted to focus on the higher-end products. While every rider is unique in what he demands out of a boot—be it protection, weight, an ankle hinge, an ankle bootie, a replaceable sole or just plain how much it’s going to hurt his wallet—wearing good foot protection is crucial. The proper fit and feel will improve your riding prowess. Proper shin, footbed, toe and ankle armor will help prevent injuries. Also, wearing a strong, comfortable boot is nearly as important as wearing a strong, comfortable helmet.

ACERBIS X-MOVE

AXO MX ONE

Features/technologies: The MX One is a traditional four-buckle motocross boot that features many small improvements. The plastic components have been engineered for enhanced feel. GAERNE SG-12
