DYNAMIC DESIGNS 2002 HONDA CR250 PROJECT: TWO-STROKE TUESDAY

On this week’s Two-Stroke Tuesday we look closer at a 2002 Honda CR250 built by the crew at Dynamic Designs. 2-Stroke Theater is full of four pre-mix burning project bike videos that are guaranteed to put a smile on any two-stroke lovers face. Don’t miss the exclusive link to another Honda two-stroke build at the bottom of this post.

Originally bought for a fun shop bike this 2002 CR250 turned into a Supercross display bike for Dynamic Designs crew. This machine will be on display at the Gas Monkey Husqvarna pits during all the West Coast SX rounds.

The wheel set is from Pro Wheel featuring a red anodized hub, stainless steel spokes set and black rims. The carbon fiber on the hubs is just a sticker wrap for looks.

Coating from Relentless Auto Works(R.A.W) adorn the engine topped of with a Nickel Wurks bolt kit from Specbolt just to make it pop. Add a Rekluse clutch and an FMF exhaust from Outlaw Motorsports in Oregon and you have one very good looking power plant.

Works Connection doesn’t make a skid plate to fit the 2002 Honda CR250 but that doesn’t mean one can’t be made to fit.  Originally designed to fit a Kawasaki 250/450 four-stroke but with a little cutting, drilling and tapping the bottom of the frame Dynamic Designs made it work perfect.

The brake master cylinders and calipers received a bronze cerakote finish done by Relentless Auto Work. Core brake lines and an oversized front rotor kit from Moto Stuff.

The engine was completely torn apart by Skasè . The crank assembly was replaced using a Hot Rods kit and a Vertex piston. The tranny was tumbled and cylinder ported at the same time. Moto Tassinari VForce reeds cage was also installed for some added performance.

The suspension rebuild was handled by EVO, coatings again by R.A.W and the triple clamps are an old set of Universal just coated to make them look new. The bolts are part of the Nickel Wurks kit from Specbolt. Mika Metals handlebars, chain and sprockets were used.

The build was finished at 2:30 in the morning before A1 and is still yet to be fired up. Like we said before it will be at all the 2019 West Coast SX rounds located in the Gas Monkey Husqvarna pits. If you are going to one of those rounds we highly recommend checking this thing out!
