- LUCAS OIL MAD FRIDAY
- PRAIRIE DOGS LAST DOG STANDING
- JOHN BURR 12 HOURS OF GLEN HELEN
Prairie Dogs MC and Glen Helen Raceway just finalized the plans for Dirt-X weekend, which will take place on June 12 – 14 2015. This will be an multi-event off-road festival that will offer something to UTV enthusiasts, endurance motorcycle racers and extreme enduro enthusiasts. The centerpiece of it all is the Prairie Dog’s Last Dog Standing, which has developed an international reputation as one of the toughest motorcycle events in the world. This will take a field of America’s best off-road riders and reduce them through a series of challenges until only the very best of the best remain. The event will be more spectator friendly than in the past, allowing spectators and participants in other events to see the action up close.
The day before the Last Dog Standing takes place, UTV owners and racers are invited to take place in Lucas Oil Mad Friday. Glen Helen’s Lucas Oil Stadium will be opened to the public for UTV practice. This is a rare opportunity for RZRs, Mavericks and other high-performance UTVs to see what it’s like to race around a professional short course. Practice sessions will be organized throughout the day, and lap times will be accurately recorded with transponders.
On Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. sharp, the John Burr 12-Hours of Glen Helen will get underway. This is part of the Glen Helen Endurance Series. For only the second time in the history of the 6, 12 and 24 Hour events, this race will feature a nighttime start. Throughout the weekend, Glen Helen’s minicycle track will be open and there will be events and activities to make it a complete family experience. Admittance will be $20 and camping is $10.
