CIANCIARULO BACK ON TOP

Adam Cianciarulo got back out to his winning ways at the sixth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, winning both the first 250 moto and the overall for the day, making it his fifth overall win in six rounds. The victory came a bit differently than normal for him, as he holeshotted both motos (his first holeshots of the season) and won the first moto of the day instead of the second. Dylan Ferrandis also had a fantastic day, taking the second moto win, but he was out of contention for the overall after his third in the first moto. A much better start in moto two helped with his day’s success. Justin Cooper tried to carry as much momentum as possible from his first overall win last weekend, but it was just not enough as he couldn’t match the speed of both Cianciarulo and Ferrandis. 250 Moto One

After a subpar performance in his home state last weekend, Adam Cianciarulo came out and made a statement in the first 250 moto by winning by over ten seconds over his championship rivals Justin Cooper and Dylan Ferrandis. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider got out to a good start, just edging out Cooper for the holeshot (his first of the year). Cianciarulo never looked back from there and let the battles ensue behind him. Derek Drake ran strong early in the moto, but was later pressured by his teammate Shane McElrath and also Dylan Ferrandis, who would eventually make their ways by Drake. Ferrandis also made the move on McElrath for third, but a few mistakes kept him from making a charge for second. Here’s how the rest of the 250 class rounded out moto one at round six of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship:

250 Moto Two

Once again, Adam Cianciarulo got out to the early lead by grabbing the second 250 class moto holeshot. A hard charging Dylan Ferrandis wasted no time making his way through the pack, though, as he had to get around Brandon Hartranft in order to latch onto the heels of Cianciarulo. Ferrandis’ pace was just too much to try and match for the Kawasaki rider, as Cianciarulo settled for second in the moto and Dylan Ferrandis took the moto win.
